Polynucleotide Treatment at The Face Clinic Edinburgh

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are new concept of regenerative medicine, now available at The Face Clinic Edinburgh,  which promote cell turnover, improve skin elasticity and hydration, heal sun damaged skin, and improve photoaging and acne scarring, giving a more nourished, healthy, and revitalised complexion.

What does the treatment involve?

The treatment involves tiny injections of purified DNA fragments over a course of 3 sessions, 2-4 weeks apart. Injections are comfortable, with a topical numbing cream used to reduce any mild discomfort.

The treatment promotes the production of new collagen and elastin fibres, stimulating the body’s own cell regeneration. Immediate and long-term results include improved skin elasticity and hydration, reduction in pigmentation, smoothing of scar tissue, improvements in fine lines and improved dark circles around the eyes.

How long do results last?

Results last 6 months plus, with booster treatments recommended 1-2 times per year.
